About putu suta wijaya

PUTU, the boss of sangkring art space.
Yogyakarta's leading artist, called Pak PUTU (using Pak with respect) by men and women of all ages.
Always friendly, Pak PUTU nurtures and helps young artists.
Therefore, there are always visitors in sangkring, and it is a place for various people to interact, such as talking seriously, singing songs with everyone, and sometimes exhibiting and live performances.
Just writing about sangkring would be a huge number of characters, so I'll omit it here and mention Pak PUTU's artwork.
Anyway, the production speed is fast, and the speed is superhuman.
During my stay, when he took me to a sketch of the ruins of Mount Kandy Prao, he had already finished a lot of sketches while I arrived and was observing the ruins.
In addition, I thought that he drew it on a white canvas of No. 200 or more big in sangkring without taking any Sketch, and while everyone was watching while playing, it was completed in less than 30 minutes. (It's a dynamic painting, but the scary thing is that it's so detailed that it's like watching magic ...)
I say It's a huge artwork! it's amazing! but he say, it's a small size. ..sangat bags work!!!
As you can see, his career and craftsmanship are top notch, but what I find most amazing is the spirituality of the work.
Since Pak PUTU religion in Bali Hinduism, mythical gods often appear in his works.

There is also a routine in the painting materials, and he often draw with Chinese ink at once.
The method of drawing that meets these conditions, such as religion, painting materials, speed, and spirit of the place, seems to be developing the painting with the god of Bali Hindu down to himself, and it was completed as well as during production. I feel tremendous energy in the work. It's as if God is possessed.
Let's experience the luxury of witnessing a work possessed by something superb, after the way of life (spirituality) and skill are intertwined!
(Pak PUTU cherishes really young artists, rents a music studio in sangkring, provides a place to art work in the facility, and also provides meals after fasting, so young artists also respect and that I feel that we are influenced by the emphasis on spirituality. Recently, he seem to be teaching painting techniques under the name of sangkring art academy. By the way, he also formed a music band with a young artist. It's a superhuman!)

terima kashi banyak Pak PUTU!!!
